Spirulina Detox Smoothie Bowl

Spirulina is touted as somewhat of a superhero of the food world - it lays claim to superpowers that include fighting viruses, preventing cancer and warding off the effects of ageing. It contains all the essential amino acids and is high in protein. Quite veritably Superman in the skin of the Incredible Hulk!

Spirulina Detox Smoothie Bowl

This simple but delicious smoothie bowl is cleansing and refreshing, bursting with goodness but not without a sneaky treat! It isn't intended to be the typical fruit-heavy sugary smoothie bowl but subtly sweet and has much more of a leaning towards the veggie end of the whole food spectrum.

The inclusion of matcha amps up the antioxidant content as well as the vivid chlorophyll green colour - not to mention the delicious taste especially with a touch of manuka honey.
